Our Story

Don’t Tell Dena started as a collaboration between lead vocalist Chris Krummrich and drummer Sean Kanaly in the Summer of 2015. In 2016, they added lead guitar/vocalist Campbell Young and bassist/vocalist Triston Lightner. In 2020, looking to expand their sound, the band added Kentucky-native AJ Seadler on the guitar. Don’t Tell Dena draws their inspiration from genres such as alternative rock, psychedelic rock, funk, blues, jazz and pop. Don’t Tell Dena re-paints their favorite flavors of music by using distinctive bass lines, quirky guitar effects, and tantalizing synthesizers and vocal harmonies. Influences include Pink Floyd, Tame Impala, The Strokes, Yes and The Flaming Lips.

Don’t Tell Dena loves playing live shows and puts out an energy that radiates into the audience.
