Every year in April, the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma (ACM@ UCO) partners with sponsors and businesses in the Oklahoma City metro to put on Metro Music Fest, a FREE, all-day festival celebrating live music and entertainment. Established in 2010 as a showcasing of student talent, Metro Music Fest brings Oklahoma City to life by organizing performances by dozens of student bands, Oklahoma-known musicians and internationally recognized headliners such as Moby, Chic feat. Nile Rodgers, John Fullbright and more.
ACM@UCO students and ACM-affiliated bands perform alongside these rock stars across more than 13 venues, providing multiple genres of music to a diverse range of audiences. More than 15,000 people from across the state come to experience the music industry’s culture and be a part of establishing the Metro as an entertainment district in Oklahoma.
